Renal failure is not irreversible

Renal failure is the result of various kind of chronic kidney disease deterioration, which can be a life-threatening disease in severe case. Clinical experience has shown that the renal failure is not irreversible, the following condition of renal failure are capable of improvement.

1. The patients have basic pathological changes, such as lupus nephritis, vascular inflammatory nephritis and crescent glomerulonephritis. The kidney problem due to these disease is usually acute renal failure, which is different from chronic renal failure that cause irreversible damage to nephron. In this case, the patient can be treated effectively if diagnosed rapidly.
2. The renal hypoperfusion and hypourocrinia due to dehydration, hemorrhage, hypotension, shock, severe diarrhoea, emesis, excessive sweating, hydrothorax and ascite can be treated by improving the renal perfusion.
3. Complications such as severe infection, cardiac failure, severe high blood pressure can damage renal function rapidly. Correcting these factors timely can recover kidney function adequately.
4. The renal failure patients with obstructions such as urinary calculus, urologic neoplasms, urinary retention and hydronephrosis can be cured by treating the complications.
5. The kidney function decreased due to renal tubular cells poisoning, necrosis and tubular interstitial inflammation resulting from renal toxicity medicine can be treated by stopping using the drug immediately and symptomatic treatment.

Thus the patients have been diagnosed with renal failure need not be alarmed unduly, finding a proper treatment is most important.
