1. Abdominal pain
Renal failure patients with hydronephrosis will experience severe abdominal pain due to kidney obstruction. The hydronephrosis caused by urinary calculus will lead to sharp renal colic while urologic neoplasms as the cause will lead to dull ache.
2. Urinary symptoms
The renal failure patients will experience urinary symptoms such as frequent micturition and urgent urination, which mainly resulting from urinary tract obstruction. Patients with urinary tract obstruction may get recurrent urinary tract infection, many patients can be diagnosed as hydronephrosis when they go to hospital to cure urinary tract infection, in fact, urinary symptoms are sign of hydronephrosis.
3. No symptoms
Most of urinary tract obstructive diseases will lead to hydronephrosis, but not necessarily show significant clinical signs or symptoms, which is the main reason of the hydronephrosis patients do not go to see a doctor. Hydronephrosis without symptoms is resulted from the pathogenesis and disease formation rate of hydronephrosis.
As the common complication of renal failure, hydronephrosis will affect the renal function eventually. Experts suggest that the patients with hydronephrosis should see a doctor as soon as possible, in case of delaying treatment.
